Project Controls Risk Manager (PMO)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support the successful delivery of a large, complex programme within a secure environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Controls or PMO professional with strong experience managing programme risks, governance, planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain programme RAIDO (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities) logs.
• Identify, assess and monitor project and programme risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
• Track dependencies across multiple workstreams and escalate risks where appropriate.
• Support project planning and scheduling activities, ensuring programme information remains accurate and up to date.
• Produce regular performance reports, dashboards and governance documentation for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate risk reviews, governance meetings and programme reporting cycles.
• Work collaboratively with Project Managers, PMO teams, planners and technical stakeholders to maintain project health.
• Ensure risks, issues and actions are appropriately recorded, monitored and closed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls, governance and reporting processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Risk Manager, Project Controls Manager, PMO Manager, PMO Analyst, Project Planner or similar project delivery role.
• Strong experience managing RAIDO/RAID logs within complex programmes.
• Knowledge of project planning, scheduling and governance processes.
• Experience producing project performance reports, dashboards and management information.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale projects or programmes within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within Defence, Government or other secure environments.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP or Agile.
• Experience using project planning and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira or similar.
