Summary: The Project Controls Coordinator IV is tasked with the development and implementation of project controls planning for complex Engineering and Construction capital projects exceeding $100 million annually. This role involves integrating cost and schedule functions while ensuring quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables. The position is based in Houston, TX, and is a 12-month assignment. The coordinator will lead the development of project execution plans and manage various project control deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate development of overall Project Execution Plan and maintain project controls deliverables.
  • Prepare Cost Report and Cost Variance Analysis.
  • Prepare Cash Flow Report and Variance Analysis.
  • Prepare Schedule Report and Schedule Variance Analysis.
  • Manage Project Change Management Procedure.
  • Develop Project Controls Plan.
  • Integrate Cost Control and Scheduling functions into Monthly Progress Reports.
  • Define Project Controls resource requirements for the project.
  • Perform quality control on all project control deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate collection of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on new tools, processes, or procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with a minimum of twelve years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer’s Registration (P.E.) and/or Project Management Professional credential (PMP) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost processes related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
  • Familiarity with best management practices for project scheduling and cost control.
  • Ability to implement processes for project scheduling and cost control.

Airswift is looking for a Project Controls Coordinator IV to support a major client in Houston, TX on a 12-month assignment

Schedule: 5/40

The Project Controls Coordinator IV (PCC) is responsible for development and implementation of project controls planning, integration of cost and schedule functions as well as quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects. Assigned to projects of more than $100 MM/year with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate development of overall Project Execution Plan. Participate in the development and maintenance of project controls deliverables including but limited to:

o Cost Report and Cost Variance Analysis

o Cash Flow Report and Variance Analysis

o Schedule Report and Schedule Variance Analysis

o Project Change Management Procedure

o Project Controls Plan

o Monthly Progress Report Integrating Cost Control and Scheduling functions into one seamless team.

  • Defining Project Controls resource requirements for the project.

  • Performing quality control on all project control deliverables for completeness and accuracy.

  • Lead role in coordinating collection of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings according to the 6-Phase Project Lifecycle.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems functional groups on actual experiences gained during implementation of new tools, processes or procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, in another technical discipline or industry PCC specific related experience with a minimum of twelve years of experience.

  • Professional Engineer’s Registration (P.E.) and/or Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred;

  • Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure;

  • Specific knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost process and issues related to pipeline and plant facility projects;

  • Familiarity with best management practices for project scheduling and cost control;
