Key Responsibilities:

  • Own daily reconciliations for 200+ stores
  • Investigate and resolve variances, liaising directly with store operations
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation templates, checklists, and documentation standards
  • Produce detailed reconciliation reports and present findings to finance leadership
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, audits, and system implementations with a reconciliation lens
  • Work with IT to resolve data errors / missing data sets

My client, a large retailer is seeking a Project Accountant to be based from its offices in Wolverhampton (4 days per week). My client is an established retailer based in Wolverhampton, who has seen significant growth over the last five years.

As a retail focused Project Accountant based in Wolverhampton reporting to the Senior Management Accountant you will:

  • Own in particular daily reconciliations for 200+ plus stores
  • Investigate and resolve variances, liaising directly with store operations
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation templates, checklists, and documentation standards
  • Produce detailed reconciliation reports and present findings to finance leadership
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, audits, and system implementations with a reconciliation lens
  • Work with IT to resolve data errors / missing data sets
