Project Accountant

Summary: The Project Accountant role focuses on supporting the Head of Syndicate Finance at a leading (Re)Insurer in delivering key finance transformation initiatives. This hands-on position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in Syndicate Finance and project delivery. The role involves contributing to the implementation of Phinsys and ensuring compliance with Solvency UK requirements. The position is hybrid and offers a competitive day rate, with a contract length of 12-15 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the successful Phinsys implementation (Go-Live planned for Q3 2025)
• Contribute to the Syndicate’s Solvency UK preparations and reporting requirements
• Assist in shaping and embedding the Target Operating Model (TOM) across Finance
• Support implementation of a new Managing Agent (MA) structure

Key Skills:

• Proven project delivery within Syndicate Finance or Lloyd’s market environments
• Hands-on knowledge of Phinsys – either through project implementation or BAU support
• Strong understanding of Syndicate Finance operations, including reporting and ledger processes
• Knowledge of Solvency II / Solvency UK compliance
• Experience with Underwriting Data Warehouse (DW) and Policy Admin Systems (PAS)
• Highly organised, self-starter, able to manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities
