Summary: The Project Accountant role involves supporting a major offshore wind development in Scotland, focusing on financial reporting, cost control, and compliance within a multi-contractor environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and management accounts
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and project financial planning
  • Managing accounting across project finance structures, including loans and financial instruments
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS standards (including IFRS 9 and IFRS 16)
  • Supporting audits and maintaining strong financial controls

Key Skills:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and IFRS
  • Experience in large infrastructure, energy, or project-based environments
  • Strong Excel and ERP system skills (SAP or similar preferred)
  • Renewables or offshore wind experience is advantageous but not essential

Project Accountant – Offshore Wind Project

Location: Edinburgh / Hybrid

Contract: 12 months

I’m currently supporting a major offshore wind development in Scotland in the search for a Project Accountant to join their finance team. This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale infrastructure project, supporting financial reporting, cost control, and compliance across a complex, multi-contractor environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and management accounts
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and project financial planning
