Summary: The role of Project Accountant is focused on supporting a Financial Services & Insurance organization through critical process improvements and reporting initiatives. This interim position requires immediate availability and extensive experience in statutory accounting within the insurance sector. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a small finance team to enhance month-end and year-end processes, as well as support integration efforts following an acquisition. Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve and streamline month-end and year-end processes
  • Drive enhancements to statutory reporting
  • Support integration following a recent acquisition
  • Assist with the new policy administration system roll-out and ensure smooth interaction with the accounting software
  • Lead balance sheet reconciliations and investment accounting
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure the timely delivery of accurate data

INTERIM PROJECT ACCOUNTANT | INSURANCE SECTOR | Hybrid – Bury | £250–£400 per day or c£65k | Start ASAP

We’re recruiting urgently for a highly capable Project Accountant to join a well-established Financial Services & Insurance organisation on a 9–12 month contract. This is a key hire within a small, collaborative finance team, working on a number of critical process improvement and reporting initiatives.

You must have:

  • Proven insurance sector experience
  • An accountant with extensive experience in statutory accounting
  • Available to start immediately or on short notice
