Summary: The Project Accountant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Barrow-in-Furness, focusing on delivering core project accounting for the Dreadnought Programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all core project accounting deliverables for the Dreadnought Programme.
- Collaborate with the Dreadnought PMO lead to provide robust forecasts for Monthly Management Reporting.
- Ensure accurate quarterly Contract Status Reports are produced.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and governance activities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including MOD and finance teams.
Key Skills:
- Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or equivalent.
- Accounting and financial management experience in project finance.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and other MS packages.
- Understanding of business and financial modelling.
- Experience in influencing across functions and hierarchies.
- Experience in a Defence environment is advantageous.
