Summary: The Programme Planner role involves coordinating planning and scheduling activities across a complex, multi-disciplinary development programme within a pioneering engineering organization focused on electrification and sustainable technology. The position requires building and managing integrated programme schedules, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-quality planning outputs. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware and engineering planning, proficiency in relevant tools, and strong analytical and communication skills. This is a 12-month rolling contract with hybrid working arrangements based in Oxfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and maintain integrated programme schedules across engineering, supply chain, software, and manufacturing teams
- Support cross-functional collaboration to align project plans with technical and strategic milestones
- Track progress against baselines and proactively identify risks, recovery plans, and improvement areas
- Deliver high-quality planning outputs – including Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and scenario modelling
- Support both agile and traditional delivery frameworks in a fast-paced, high-change environment
- Provide planning insights and reports to help guide strategic decision-making at programme level
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in planning roles within hardware, engineering, or complex product development settings
- Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle – from concept through systems engineering, design, validation, and into manufacturing
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software, supply chain, etc.)
- Detail-focused and analytically strong, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

The Role:
