Summary: The Programme Manager - WMS role involves leading the implementation of a Tier 1 Warehouse Management System across multiple locations in the UK. The successful candidate will manage various workstreams, ensuring effective integration and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to align the programme with business objectives. The contract is outside IR35 and spans a duration of six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a Tier 1 WMS implementation, from discovery through to go-live and stabilisation.
- Oversee system design, integration, and automation to enhance warehouse efficiency and scalability.
- Manage programme governance, risk, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners to deliver against milestones and timelines.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to project and technical teams throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing Tier 1 WMS implementations (e.g. Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM).
- Strong background in discovery and solution design phases, with delivery experience preferred.
- Expertise in system integration, automation, and process optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-site logistics or warehouse transformation programmes.
