Summary: The Programme Manager for Publishing - Ethics & Integrity will lead a high-profile programme aimed at enhancing ethics and integrity within scientific publishing. This role involves strategic oversight, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the delivery of initiatives that align with the client's objectives. The successful candidate will manage multiple workstreams and promote best practices in ethics programme management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Ethics & Integrity programme end-to-end, from design and planning through to delivery and benefits realization.
  • Translate the client's publishing ethics strategy into a coordinated programme of initiatives with clear milestones and success measures.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive delivery roadmap that integrates policy, operations, technology, and community engagement.
  • Partner with publishing leadership, editorial teams, researchers, and external stakeholders to define programme objectives and KPIs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and consistent communication.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams to deliver integrated outcomes, championing agile delivery practices.
  • Ensure effective programme governance by maintaining transparent status reporting and managing risks and dependencies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines with a focus on achieving measurable impact.
  • Lead change management and communication efforts for successful adoption of new policies and processes.
  • Promote best practices in ethics programme management and mentor colleagues to build capability.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale programmes or portfolios in publishing, research, or adjacent sectors.
  • Deep understanding of ethics, integrity, and compliance issues in academic publishing or research.

We are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Programme Manager to lead and coordinate our client's high-profile Ethics & Integrity programme within one of their scientific publishing areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring cohesive, strategic delivery of initiatives that uphold the client's reputation, support researchers, and strengthen trust in scholarly publishing. The successful candidate will act as the outcome owner, driving initiatives that embed ethics and integrity throughout our publishing processes.
