Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale transformation or change programmes within insurance broking.
- Deliver operational efficiency programmes with demonstrable outcomes.
- Implement AI/automation programmes and understand their application within insurance workflows.
- Oversee entity rationalisation and operating model redesign within a multi-entity group.
- Engage with stakeholders at Board and ExCo level to influence and communicate effectively.
- Structure complex problems and build business cases for diverse audiences.
- Understand insurance broking operations and regulatory context.
- Work in a private equity-backed business or through M&A integration programmes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in project and programme management.
- Expertise in transformation and change management.
- Knowledge of operational efficiency methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks such as MSP, PRINCE2, Agile/SAFe.

Our client, a leading insurance broker, urgently requires an experienced Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager to deliver complex,cross-functional transformation programmes across the group with a focus on Operational Efficiency, AI Enablement and Entity Simplification. This is an initial 6-month contract, outside IR35 with flexibility on location for the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven, significant experience managing large-scale transformation or change programmes within insurance broking;
- Track record of delivering operational efficiency programmes with demonstrable, quantified outcomes;
- Experience delivering AI/automation programmes, with an understanding of how AI tools apply within insurance or broking workflows and familiarity with AI governance frameworks and responsible AI principles in a regulated financial services environment;
- Experience of entity rationalisation, legal entity simplification, or operating model redesign within a complex, multi-entity Group;
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and communicate at Board and ExCo level;
- Analytical and data-literate, with ability to structure complex problems, build business cases, and present clearly to diverse audiences;
- Understanding of insurance broking operations (eg Commercial Lines, Specialty, Personal Lines) with understanding of regulatory context (FCA, Lloyd's); and
- Experience working in a private equity-backed business or through M&A integration programmes.
