Summary: The Programme Manager role focuses on leading complex data-intensive programmes within the Lloyd's insurance market, specifically targeting bordereau projects. The position requires strategic leadership and exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a strong emphasis on improving bordereau submission and governance processes. The successful candidate will coordinate between various business functions and technology teams while ensuring compliance with reporting standards. This role involves a hybrid working arrangement, requiring two days a week onsite in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of bordereau transformation programmes, ensuring milestones, quality and budget targets are met.
- Build and maintain programme plans, risk logs and benefits realisation frameworks to drive clarity and confidence in delivery.
- Partner with underwriting, delegated authority, data, technology and compliance teams to implement process and system changes that improve bordereau ingestion, validation, automation and reporting.
- Champion bordereaux data quality and governance, ensuring compliance with Lloyd's Coverholder reporting standards and Delegated Data Manager (DDM) processes.
- Lead regular steering committee meetings, provide senior stakeholders with clear status updates and escalate risks/issues proactively.
- Mentor and coordinate delivery leads, business analysts and project managers assigned to bordereau workstreams.
- Support the development of training, documentation and transition planning for sustained operational excellence.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Programme/Change Manager delivering complex programmes in the London/Lloyd's insurance market, ideally including data reporting, delegated authority or bordereau transformation work.
- Deep understanding of bordereau types (premium, claims, risk) and reporting workflows common in the Lloyd's market.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience, including collaboration with underwriting, operations, IT and external partners.
- Excellent planning, organisational and risk management skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and market stakeholders.
- Relevant programme/project management qualifications (eg, MSP, Prince2, Agile certifications) preferred.

Our client, a leading Insurance company, are looking for a Programme Manager with experience in the Lloyd's insurance market and a strong track record of delivering complex data-intensive programmes - particularly focusing on bordereau projects. You will lead cross-functional delivery, drive efficiencies in bordereau submission, validation and governance, and act as the central point of coordination between business functions, technology teams and external partners.
This role requires strategic leadership, exceptional stakeholder management skills and a practical understanding of bordereau types (premium, claims, written, risk) and the associated reporting landscape.
the successful candidate will be required to work 2 days a week onsite at the client's London office.
