Summary: The Programme Manager role is situated within the Programme Delivery team, focusing on supporting major projects and transformations. The position involves managing various aspects of programme management, including planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communication. The role offers flexibility in work arrangements and requires experience in leading transformational change in diverse environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services within the programme's scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and maintenance of the Programme Plan with regular progress reports
- Designing and leading the programme's governance arrangements
- Managing the programme's budget and monitoring expenditure
- Ensuring appropriate allocation of skills and resources to workstreams
- Managing communications with stakeholders and inputting into the Communications Plan
- Managing dependencies and interfaces between projects
- Managing risks and issues at a programme level
- Overseeing the delivery of business change covering people, processes, and technology
- Managing an effective Programme Management Office
- Reporting programme progress at regular intervals
- Contract management of primary third-party delivery partners
Key Skills:
- Experience delivering transformational change of strategic nature
- Experience in operationally critical environments
- Experience in both waterfall and agile environments
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes
