Summary: The Programme Manager will join the Workforce Development team within Greater Manchester's Integrated Care System, focusing on enhancing T level placement capacity and developing technical career pathways in health and social care. This role requires extensive stakeholder engagement across various sectors, including the NHS and local authorities, to facilitate system-wide changes. The position is available for a 12-month period and may involve flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will leverage their project management expertise to deliver strategic workforce objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of a sustainable placement infrastructure for non-medical placements across Greater Manchester.
  • Scope, develop, and deliver programme plans to increase T level placements and develop technical career pathways.
  • Identify, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, including risks and issues logs and stakeholder maps.
  • Deliver high-quality written documentation tailored to various audiences.
  • Manage projects using programme and project management methodologies.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues to ensure optimal project delivery.
  • Work flexibly across the portfolio to meet team and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage programme finances and support procurement activities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage human resources, including direct line management of programme staff.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in programme management.

Key Skills:

  • Educated to master's level or equivalent experience at a senior level.
  • Programme management experience.
  • Knowledge of T Levels and the Greater Manchester education landscape.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and programmes.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

Salary (Rate): £60,504
