The Role
As a Programme Manager, our client expects you to take ownership of complex Cyber Security and Security Operations programmes, bringing together cyber specialists, technology teams, operational stakeholders and suppliers to deliver measurable security outcomes.
You will provide the structure, governance and leadership required to take security initiatives from strategy and design through implementation, transition and into business-as-usual operations.
This is a senior, client-facing role requiring strong programme leadership combined with a practical understanding of how modern Security Operations capabilities are designed, implemented and operated.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex Security Operations and Cyber Security transformation programmes from mobilisation through to operational delivery.
- Establish programme plans, governance frameworks, milestones, dependencies and success measures.
- Coordinate delivery across Cyber Security, SOC, Infrastructure, Cloud, IAM, Network and Service Management teams.
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of Security Operations capabilities, including SOC, SIEM, detection and response, vulnerability management and incident response.
- Manage the transition of new security capabilities into live operational services.
- Work closely with security architects and technical teams to ensure delivery aligns with security strategy and architecture.
- Manage dependencies across internal teams, clients, technology vendors and third-party suppliers.
- Own programme risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.
- Manage programme budgets, resources, forecasts and commercial commitments.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Programme & Security Operations Experience
- Significant experience leading complex Cyber Security programmes within enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Security Operations and the delivery of operational cyber capabilities.
- Experience delivering programmes involving areas such as SOC, SIEM, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, security tooling or security service transformation.
- Proven experience transitioning security capabilities from project delivery into BAU operations.
- Strong programme governance, planning, financial management and risk management capability.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, technical dependencies and third-party suppliers.
- Good understanding of cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity and security technologies.
- Experience working with managed security service providers and technology vendors would be advantageous.
