Summary: This role is for an experienced Programme Manager to lead a complex, high-profile, multi-agency programme in the public sector for a duration of 6 months. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take immediate ownership of programme involving several workstreams
  • Re-establish the programme's structure and define a clear critical path for delivery
  • Lead and coordinate activity across multiple agencies and departments
  • Provide direct support to a highly engaged leadership team
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment among key stakeholders
  • Apply change management and PMO best practices to drive delivery forward

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-agency programmes - local authority experience strongly preferred but experience in central government and police also relevant
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and cross-departmental coordination
  • Confident handling sensitive and high-profile projects
  • Adept at working directly with executive leadership and navigating political dynamics
  • Experience of managing multi-agency working and several workstreams
  • Practical knowledge of change management and PMO structures

Salary (Rate): £550 daily

About the Role:

We have an urgent opportunity working in the public sector for an experienced Programme Manager to lead a complex, high-profile, multi agency programme over the next 6 months. This is a pivotal role which requires a seasoned professional who can quickly establish structure, manage multiple stakeholders, and navigate sensitive issues with confidence and discretion.
