Summary: The Programme Manager role involves leading and managing a public sector programme in Edinburgh/Glasgow for an initial 9-month contract, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement. The position requires extensive experience in cloud-based transformation and project planning, ensuring successful delivery of programme milestones. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with office presence, and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership on all workstream deliverables to encourage collaboration and transparency.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure high levels of adoption and utilisation of programme deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Programme(s), including planning, finances, risks, and resources.
  • Produce and manage project plans for sub workstreams proactively.
  • Manage dependencies with other major programmes.
  • Represent the Deputy Director in wider Corporate Functions, ensuring visibility and escalation of issues.
  • Represent the programme to relevant Customer and User Groups involved in implementation.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in cloud-based transformation and corporate function processes.
  • Strong project planning skills and experience in driving delivery from initiation to execution.
  • Hands-on experience in planning complex implementations and ownership of delivery.
  • Experience managing complex implementation processes in a large, fragmented business.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at all levels in a public sector environment.

Salary (Rate): £600
