Programme Manager

Location: Darlington with Hybrid Working

Duration: Fixed term for 12 months

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead and coordinate business-facing activities as we move into our next phases of our upcoming Capstone project. This is a key role bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring smooth delivery and adoption of one of our most significant transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate the business facing in UAT, Implementation and Hypercare phases of the project
• Act as the main link between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and outcomes
• Oversee programme planning, governance, and reporting, maintaining a clear view of progress, dependencies, and delivery milestones
• Manage and engage with internal teams and third-party partners to drive delivery against agreed timelines
• Support effective communication and engagement across multiple business areas to ensure successful adoption and business readiness
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies to maintain programme momentum and quality

Salary - £60,000 - £70,000 per annum based on experience.

About You

Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-site projects or programmes within a complex organisation, ideally within a PLC or enterprise environment

Strong background in project and programme management, with a solid track record of delivery through to implementation

Able to communicate technical information clearly to business stakeholders and vice versa

Skilled in governance, planning, and stakeholder management at all levels

Qualified (or working towards) in a recognised framework such as Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or a Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)

Confident working under pressure, managing competing priorities, and maintaining delivery standards in fast-paced environments
