Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver strategic planning cycles across change portfolios, ensuring financial investments align with long-term strategy and business needs.
  • Develop business cases and benefit validation to support transformation programmes and emerging business opportunities.
  • Drive regular engagement with senior stakeholders at executive and director level to influence and deliver portfolio strategy.
  • Manage portfolio risks, issues, and dependencies, keeping senior leadership informed of progress and challenges.
  • Deliver portfolio-level reporting and governance materials, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Oversee budget management across large-scale programmes, identifying and delivering savings opportunities where required.
  • Ensure programme dependencies are well understood, aligned, and integrated across global initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support within the wider change management function, driving continuous improvement and effective delivery.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience in programme or portfolio management, ideally within financial services or technology-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation programmes with budgets of multi-millions.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio management principles, financial planning, and strategy development.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver at pace under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Commercially astute with experience building multi-year business cases and managing global programmes.
  • Knowledge of technology and infrastructure landscapes within financial services.
