Summary: The role of Programme Manager focuses on leading the final stages of an RFP/vendor selection process for an ERP solution and overseeing the implementation of a multi-year programme. This position is critical as the client embarks on a transformation journey, particularly in replacing their current field service management solution. The Programme Manager will be responsible for building a robust business case and ensuring successful delivery and implementation of the programme. The role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in ERP transformations and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the final stages of the RFP/vendor selection process for an ERP solution.
- Lead the implementation of a multi-year programme, focusing on replacing the current field service management solution.
- Build a robust programme business case for shareholder approval.
- Manage large-scale ERP programmes and budgets.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders up to Executive level.
- Oversee programme planning, prioritisation, and resource management.
- Facilitate change management and communication as part of IT system implementations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale ERP programmes, preferably with D365 or IFS systems.
- Strong background in RFP/vendor selection for enterprise IT solutions.
- Expertise in managing multi-million-pound programme budgets.
- Excellent programme planning, prioritisation, and resource management skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- Strong understanding of IT architecture and ERP integration.
- Experience in change management and readiness for IT system implementations.
- Personable and able to bridge the gap between IT and business.

Programme Manager - ERP Implementation & Vendor Selection
Our prestigious South Gloucestershire based client have an urgent requirement for an interim Programme Manager with a track record of delivering complex ERP transformations. Our client are at the start of an exciting transformation journey and is seeking a dynamic programme manager to drive the final stages of an RFP/vendor selection process for an ERP solution, and lead the implementation of a multi-year programme.
This programme manager will join the business at a pivotal moment-finalising vendor selection, building a robust programme business case for shareholder approval, and leading the programme through delivery and implementation, with the first major milestone focusing on the replacement and exit of their current field service management (FSM) solution which is approaching end of life.
Up to £725 per day - OUTSIDE IR35
3 month initial contract (with scope for long term extensions - the programme should run for 2-3 years)
Hybrid working - Circa 2 days a week onsite in the client's office in South Gloucestershire
Experience needed:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale ERP programmes (Any experience with either D365 or IFS sytems would be advantageous)
- Strong background in RFP/vendor selection for enterprise IT solutions
- Expertise in managing £multi-million programme budgets
- Excellent programme planning, prioritisation, and resource management skills
- Gravitas and credibility to engage and influence senior stakeholders up to Exec level
- Strong understanding of IT architecture and knowledge of ERP integration with other systems
- Strong experience of change management, comms and readiness as part of IT system implementations
- Personable, engaging, and able to bridge the gap between IT and business
