Summary: The Programme Manager for Business Finance Process in the public sector will lead a complex initiative to re-engineer finance processes across multiple business units, aligning them with a broader SAP implementation. The role requires extensive experience in managing business programmes within regulated environments, focusing on governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in finance functions, particularly in housing or public sector contexts. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days a week in Worcestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the re-engineering of cross-business finance processes, including income collection, cash allocation, and billing.
- Manage detailed programme planning, execution, oversight, governance, risk, and issues management.
- Engage with multiple business units to ensure alignment with finance systems and processes.
- Provide leadership to the programme team and ensure effective stakeholder management.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of programme management experience in complex and regulated environments.
- Proven track record of cross-business, cross-functional programme delivery.
- Experience in business finance functions with a focus on process-based changes.
- Preferred ERP/SAP experience, though not in a functional/technical capacity.
- Industry experience in housing, property management, or public sector.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution.
Salary (Rate): £700 per day umbrella rate

Programme Manager – Business Finance Process – Public Sector
A public sector organisation is undertaking a major business finance process change initiative and are looking for a Programme Manager to run a complex programme to re-engineer cross-business finance processes and create alignment to their finance systems.
You will work across multiple business units with common finance processes, including income collection, cash allocation, and billing, to reengineer these processes in line with a broader SAP implementation.
You will have experience managing complex business programmes in regulatory/compliance focused environments, being responsible for detailed programme planning, execution, oversight, governance, risk and issues management, and programme team leadership.
You will have excellent senior stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in projects within business finance functions, with a focus on process-based changes
- ERP/SAP experience is preferred but please note this is not a functional/technical role

This a £650-700/day umbrella rate role. Hybrid with 2-3 days/week in Worcestershire. Initial 6 months on amulet-year programme.
