Summary: The Programme Director/Lead for Data Centre Exit and Cloud Migration is responsible for overseeing a large-scale transformation initiative, ensuring successful delivery through effective leadership and stakeholder management. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in technology programmes and the ability to navigate complex dependencies. The position is contract-based with an immediate start and is classified as outside IR35. The role is based in Coventry, with travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive-level programme leadership and assurance across the re-planned delivery roadmap.
- Drive the cadence of programme reviews, governance forums, and progress updates with senior stakeholders.
- Establish and lead regular delivery stand-ups to identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and escalation requirements.
- Deliver accurate, insightful, and action-oriented programme reporting.
- Hold delivery teams and stakeholders accountable for agreed outcomes, milestones, and commitments.
- Apply a holistic "systems view" approach to migration planning and execution.
- Lead readiness assessments, migration planning activities, and execution oversight.
- Review and challenge the robustness of plans across interconnected programmes and workstreams to ensure successful programme outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience operating at Programme Director or Senior Programme Lead level.
- Demonstrable success delivering large-scale Data Centre Exit, infrastructure transformation, or cloud migration programmes.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to challenge constructively, drive accountability, and resolve delivery blockers at pace.
