Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting procurement activity and site reviews for assigned programmes.
  • Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas.
  • Interface between programme and commodity management for sourcing and change programmes.
  • Support parts/supplier transfers and industrialisation for major and minor transfers.
  • Drive implementation of global/regional agreements within programme portfolio.
  • Manage transfer of parts from PO to Schedule, including negotiations.
  • Ensure PO demands placed upon suppliers meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Oversee site procurement change control, export control, and ITAR compliance.
  • Maintain integrity of site BOM and update item/contract data.
  • Develop and support site cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans.
  • Manage raw material inventory levels in line with programme targets.
  • Resolve invoice queries related to pricing and escalate cost/contractual issues.
  • Support SQE on supplier non-conformance and processing of returns and claims.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain administration/planning or Procurement roles.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically.
  • Organised and process-oriented with problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
  • Desirable qualifications include a degree and APICS/MCIPS certification.
  • MRP proficiency.

Job Summary Based in our East Cowes facilities, and reporting into the Procurement Operations Manager & Senior Buyer, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with some previous experience within Purchasing and Supply to join a high-performing, dynamic team, and develop a rewarding career with a successful, growing international organisation. This role will require travel to supplier sites, both domestically and internationally (could be up to 20%)

Job Responsibilities Reporting procurement activity and site reviews for the Programmes under their responsibility. Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas Interface between programme and commodity management for new sourcing and change programmes in line with the group commodity strategy Supporting parts / supplier transfers and industrialisation (Major transfers) Parts / supplier transfers and industrialisation (Minor transfers) through to FAI Driving implementation of global / regional agreements within programme portfolio Transfer of parts from PO to Schedule including the negotiation of moving from Schedule to consignment / DLF etc PO demands placed upon suppliers to ensure that Key Objectives of cost, quality and delivery are secured Site procurement change control, export control and ITAR Delivery / maintenance / Integrity of site BOM Ensuring item / contract data is updated and maintained The flow down of enabled customer materials, pricing and skyline forecasts to Suppliers Developing and supporting site cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans in-line with business requirements. Supplier risk including use of rate readiness templates and awareness of Dunn & Bradstreet for financials Managing Raw Material Inventory levels for Purchase Order parts in line with programme targets and start dates. Resolution of Invoice queries related to pricing Escalation point for any cost / contractual issues with Suppliers working with Senior Buyers and commodity management where further escalation is required. Support SQE on supplier non-conformance and processing of supplier returns and claims Ensure adherence to the Health and Safety policies and procedure.
