Summary: The role of Programme Business Analyst involves leading analysis activities for business change initiatives within the energy sector, specifically focusing on aligning systems and processes with business needs. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure IT change activities meet strategic objectives. A strong background in CRM systems, particularly MS Dynamics and Salesforce, is desirable. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in Manchester, and is outside IR35 with an initial duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all Business Analysis activities for the SEFE IT Programme, ensuring requirements, processes, and change impacts are fully understood and aligned with business strategy.
  • Design and optimize business processes and systems using proven analysis techniques to deliver improvements that meet organizational objectives and compliance standards.
  • Elicit and document clear, actionable business and functional requirements, creating user stories for development teams to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Produce and validate functional specifications and modelling artefacts (including UML Use Cases, process flows, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and data models) to support accurate system design and development.
  • Engage with internal business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure collaborative delivery of shared project goals, resolving issues and ensuring alignment across all parties.
  • Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to manage iterative development, prioritise work effectively, and adapt quickly to changing requirements or constraints.
  • Analyse and interpret energy industry business processes, particularly within Gas and Power retail operations, to ensure solutions are grounded in industry knowledge and reflect operational and commercial realities.

We are seeking an experience Business analyst with experience of objective and effective analysis of systems and processes aligned with the business needs of our energy provision client. CRM knowledge around MS Dynamics & Salesforce is desirable

Operating within the Business Analyst team under Sales IT, you will lead the analysis activities related to business change initiatives, advising and influencing Business stakeholders as well as leading internal delivery teams

The role involves partnering with business stakeholders' delivery teams, and colleagues to assess requirements and shape IT change activities, ensuring solutions meet strategic and operational objectives of the business.
