Summary: The Programme Manager role based in Birmingham involves leading the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function to enhance data utilization for strategic outcomes. This position requires overseeing the execution of the UK CDAO mobilisation plan, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and delivery of data and analytics products. The role demands collaboration with various teams to drive operational excellence and innovation within the organization. The Programme Manager will also be responsible for managing risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the overall UK CDAO mobilisation plan with oversight of individual roadmaps and adoption plans.
- Accountable for overall delivery strategy and approach across all UK CDAO Mobilisation workstreams.
- Establishing and managing UK CDAO OKRs to ensure delivery of business value.
- Leading UK colleagues across technology, controls, analytics, and delivery to meet commitments.
- Driving stakeholder discussions related to UK CDAO mobilisation delivery strategy, scope, capabilities, and budget.
- Serving as the point of escalation to manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Providing solution-oriented consultation to integrated team leads.
- Establishing effective controls, procedures, and quality assurance for deliverables.
- Fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration across the UK organization.
Key Skills:
- Over 7 years of proven experience in leading large and complex deliveries within a global matrix organization.
- Proven experience of successfully mobilising large scale entities within financial institutions.
- Exceptional knowledge of data management and delivery of products and services within financial institutions.
- Successful track record of delivering business case outcomes on time and on budget.
- Strong stakeholder management experience from Exco level to analysts.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and take action.
- A meticulous approach to tasks and data.
- Proven experience applying Agile methodologies across project and product development lifecycles.
- Agile certification(s) advantageous (e.g. SAFe).
- Proven experience in implementation of Lean processes.

Job Profile
Data and Analytics is an important enabler for the UK Business’ strategy and in achieving its’ outcomes. The Programme Manager role is within the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function. The UK CDAO function is responsible for data risk and control management, delivering the data platform strategy, delivering data and analytics products and AI for the UK Business. The Programme Manager will be responsible for the overall execution of the UK CDAO mobilisation that will empower the business to leverage data, transforming it into actionable insights that drive strategic outcomes. This position bridges UK CDAO with Group Data Technology to ensure the successful set up of architecture, technology platform, business engagement, products, tools and processes to drive operational excellence and innovation across the enterprise.
This role will carry out some or all of the following responsibilities:
- Ownership of the overall UK CDAO mobilisation plan as well having holistic oversight of the individual roadmaps and adoption plans
- Accountable for overall delivery strategy and approach across all the different UK CDAO Mobilisation workstreams, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
- Establishing and managing inspirational UK CDAO OKRs to all relevant stakeholders / committees to ensure the delivery of business value for customers
- Leading UK colleagues across technology, controls, analytics, delivery to ensure commitments are met across budget / benefits / schedule / scope
- Drive stakeholder discussions related to UK CDAO mobilisation delivery strategy, scope, capabilities, and budget
- Serving as the point of escalation to manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide solution-orientated consultation to integrated team leads, proactively controlling scope and collaboration with stakeholders to strategically identify and implement solutions.
- Establishing effective controls, procedures, and quality assurance to promote consistency of outputs across all deliverables in line with the Change Framework and Risk and Controls framework.
- Fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration across the UK organization to leverage data more effectively.
This role will require the following skills:
- Over 7 years of proven experience in leading large and complex deliveries within a global matrix organization.
- Proven experience of successfully mobilising large scale entities within financial institutions.
- Exceptional knowledge of data management and delivery of products and services within financial institutions.
- Successful track record of delivering business case outcomes on time and on budget.
- Strong stakeholder management experience from Exco level to analysts, specializing in impactful communication.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and take action.
