Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and improve PMO frameworks, standards, and processes.
  • Support programme governance forums, including agenda preparation and decision tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain integrated programme plans and manage schedule and critical path analysis.
  • Track and manage programme RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
  • Support programme budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Produce high-quality programme reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted PMO partner to various teams and support onboarding of new members.
  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO capability and tools.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a PMO Analyst or Programme Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO disciplines: governance, planning, RAID, reporting, and financial controls.
  • Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or infrastructure environments.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

PMO Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PMO Analyst to support a large, complex aviation transformation programme. The role will be embedded within the Programme Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for managing and assuring all core PMO disciplines across the programme, ensuring effective governance, planning, reporting, and control. This is a critical role in enabling programme leadership to make informed decisions, maintain regulatory and operational assurance, and deliver transformation outcomes on time and within budget in a safety-critical aviation environment..

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Key responsibilities

  • Programme Governance & Assurance
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve PMO frameworks, standards, and processes aligned to organisational and aviation industry requirements
  • Support programme governance forums (SteerCo, Programme Boards, Design Authorities), including agenda preparation, documentation, actions, and decision tracking
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements
  • Planning & Controls
  • Maintain integrated programme plans, milestones, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Support schedule management, critical path analysis, and impact assessments
  • Track and manage programme RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), ensuring timely escalation and mitigation
  • Financial & Commercial Management
  • Support programme budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and benefits realisation
  • Maintain financial controls, variance analysis, and reporting to programme leadership
  • Assist with supplier / partner performance tracking and commercial governance where required
  • Reporting & Insights
  • Produce high-quality, timely programme reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights on delivery status, risks, and trends
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of programme data
  • Stakeholder & Delivery Support
  • Act as a trusted PMO partner to Programme Managers, Business SMEs, Workstream Leads, and Delivery Teams
  • Support onboarding of new team members into programme ways of working
  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO capability, tools, and templates.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a PMO Analyst or Programme Support role within large, complex programmes
  • Strong knowledge of PMO disciplines: governance, planning, RAID, reporting, and financial controls
  • Experience working in regulated, safety-critical, or infrastructure environments (aviation, transport, defence, utilities, etc.)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and programme management tools (e.g. MS Project, PPM tools).

Desirable

  • Experience supporting transformation programmes within the aviation sector
  • Knowledge of programme and project management methodologies (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Experience with benefits management and business case tracking
  • Exposure to regulatory, operational, or assurance-driven environments

What’s in it for you? – This is a contract till July 2026(with possibility of extension) A day rate is in-scope IR35, either PAYE or Hays approved Umbrella company This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in Waterside three days per week.
