Summary: The Production Test Engineer role at Insignis Talent involves conducting production tests and diagnostics for a leading multinational defense firm. The position requires expertise in testing electronic and electrical equipment, diagnosing failures, and proposing corrective actions. The role is contract-based for 12 months and requires UK SC clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting production tests and diagnostics at both system and subsystem levels.
  • Testing intricate electronic and electrical equipment and diagnosing production test failures down to component level.
  • Identifying corrective actions to ensure seamless manufacturing progress aligned with program schedules.
  • Assessing test equipment issues and guiding support services in resolving equipment failures.
  • Evaluating technical challenges to devise proposals for investigations and corrective actions.
  • Serving as the Test Engineering representative at Defect Review Board meetings.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum qualification: HNC or HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Substantial experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and test.
  • Proficiency in measurement and test principles, alongside familiarity with associated equipment.
  • Preferred familiarity with RF and microwave technology at the subsystem level.
  • Understanding of Environmental testing, including ESS.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical prowess and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Training in manual handling and ESD.
