Job Title : Production Team Leader - Dayshift

Function : Supply Chain

Location : South Lumley Street, Grangemouth

Job Level: 4

Bonus : Up to 5% Company bonus

Contract : Full Time / Permanent

Hours of Work: 38 Hours - Monday to Thursday – 07:30-16:30

Role Reports to: Kevin Rodger - Operations Manager

What the opportunity looks like: The Production Team Leader role at Whyte and Mackay focuses on supporting bottling production teams to meet health, safety, quality standards, and production targets while fostering continuous improvement and exemplary behaviour.

Skills and experience that will help you be a success: For this role we're looking for:

  • People Leadership: The Team leader provides clear direction, motivates the team, manages resources and absence, develops skills, and collaborates with other departments to optimize production performance.
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring compliance with company and legal safety standards, leading incident investigations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe and inclusive work environment are key responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: The role advocates for continuous improvement initiatives, manages production output and materials, supports training and SOP completion, and encourages sharing best practices to enhance performance.
  • Compliance and Quality: The leader ensures quality checks in line with standards, meets production and customer service targets, adheres to external accreditation requirements, and supports quality control processes.

Key Success Criteria

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in working in a FMCG environment.
  • Experience with implementing change and implementation of new processes.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of BRC, ISO and OHSAS
  • Knowledge of CI procedures
  • Knowledge of 5s and other GMP practices, techniques.
  • Knowledge of business management systems

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective team worker, strong influencer, communicator and motivator
  • Excellent collaborator maintaining strong, transparent & positive relations with peers & stakeholders
  • Good communication skills across all levels of the business, including experience of union environment working.
