Summary: The Product Procurement Engineer role in Peterlee is a fully onsite position requiring a twelve-month commitment. The ideal candidate should possess around five years of experience in the automotive sector, with a strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and AIAG, as well as expertise in supplier management and product development. The role includes occasional travel within Europe, primarily for supplier visits, but is not expected to exceed once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships and product development processes.
- Implement and drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives.
- Utilize knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and AIAG in procurement activities.
- Coordinate travel to suppliers within Europe as required.
Key Skills:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and AIAG standards.
- Extensive experience in supplier management.
- Strong product development skills.
- Ability to drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE).

Looking for around 5 years’ experience in Automotive understand and have knowledge on APQP, PPAP and AIAG.
Extensive experience in with supplier management and product development
Driving Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE)
UK or Independent leave to remain only due to - Travel requirement – Up to 20%, travel within Europe travelling to suppliers.
Depending on the projects and the suppliers. Wouldn’t expect more than once a month type of travel.
At the most would be a week working away at a time.
