Summary: The Product Owner – Onboarding Experience will lead the vision and strategy for user onboarding journeys across a digital platform, ensuring a seamless experience for new users. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including UX, engineering, marketing, and customer success, to enhance user engagement and satisfaction. The successful candidate will manage the product backlog and utilize data-driven insights to optimize onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end onboarding experience for new users across web and mobile applications, including setup flows, guided tours, help wizards, and contextual tips.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, users, and internal teams to collect requirements and translate them into well-defined product features and user stories.
- Map user onboarding journeys, identify friction points, and create solutions that reduce drop-off and improve activation and adoption rates.
- Define and maintain a prioritized product backlog focused on onboarding enhancements and integrations with CRM, support, and analytics systems.
- Work closely with Scrum teams to deliver features iteratively. Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story refinement sessions.
- Use data analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing to validate onboarding features and continuously improve onboarding KPIs (e.g., time to first value, activation rate).
- Act as the bridge between tech teams and business stakeholders. Provide regular updates and ensure alignment with business goals.
Key Skills:
- 3–6 years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, preferably in a SaaS or digital product environment.
- Proven experience designing or optimizing user onboarding experiences.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in product analytics tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
- UX/UI sensibility and experience collaborating with design teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus).
