Summary: The In Life Store & XSUS Product Owner is responsible for enhancing digital customer experiences across web and app platforms by collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role involves defining product requirements, managing backlogs, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have some product ownership experience and a passion for data-driven decision-making in an agile environment. This position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with some travel to London or Reading offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and refinement of the In Life product roadmap in line with business priorities.
- Gather and articulate customer needs, user insights, and market trends to shape feature development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high-level goals into detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring stories are prioritised based on value and feasibility.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, QA, and analysts to deliver clear, actionable requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support agile delivery practices.
- Act as the point of contact for your product area, aligning cross-functional teams on objectives and progress.
- Communicate roadmap updates and key decisions to stakeholders at various levels.
- Use data and performance insights to inform prioritisation and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role within a digital, customer-facing environment.
- Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
- Exposure to eCommerce, digital sales, or subscription-based business models is a plus.
- Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and web technologies.
- Ability to analyse data and customer feedback to make informed product decisions.
- Comfortable breaking down complex features into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Awareness of commercial KPIs and the role product can play in improving performance.
- Basic technical understanding (e.g., APIs, CMS, tagging, integration points) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Digital, Technology).
- Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO) are a bonus but not essential.

Role Overview
As an In Life Store & XSUS Product Owner, you’ll support the delivery of best-in-class digital journeys across our web and app platforms. You’ll work closely with design, development, commercial, and analytics teams to define product requirements, prioritise backlogs, and ensure we’re delivering experiences that meet customer and business needs.
