Summary: My client is seeking an experienced Product Owner for an initial 6-month contract role based in Guildford. The position requires on-site presence at least one day a week, typically on Thursdays. The role emphasizes Agile methodologies and involves significant responsibilities in product development and stakeholder engagement. The contract is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within Agile teams using SCRUM methodologies.
- Engage in requirements engineering, business process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Utilize AWS cloud architecture, focusing on serverless technologies.
- Understand CI/CD pipelines, GitFlow strategies, and automated testing frameworks.
- Manage backlogs and track progress using JIRA or similar tools.
- Deliver data-rich applications with a focus on usability and performance.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Create operational and support documentation for internal teams.
- Take end-to-end accountability for product releases.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Agile SCRUM methodologies.

You will be required to be on site minimum 1 day a week in their Guildford Office (usually on a Thursday)
Essential Experience & Skills
- Agile SCRUM: Proven experience working in Agile teams using SCRUM methodologies.
- Business Analysis: Strong background in requirements engineering, business process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Cloud Architecture: Hands-on knowledge of AWS (especially serverless technologies like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
- DevOps Understanding: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitFlow branching strategies, and automated testing frameworks.
- Tools: Proficiency in JIRA (or similar tools) for backlog management and progress tracking.
- Product Development: Experience delivering data-rich applications (Front End and Back End) with a focus on usability and performance.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder and team management skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Documentation: Ability to create operational and support documentation for internal teams.
- Release Ownership: End-to-end accountability for product releases, from development through QA and deployment.
