Summary: The role of Product Owner at a major digital consultancy involves collaborating with financial services clients to align product vision with strategic goals. The successful candidate will manage the product roadmap, backlog, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring maximum value delivery through Agile methodologies. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. The role also demands a deep understanding of customer experience integration and product management in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external customers to analyse needs and align product vision, roadmap, and backlog to strategic goals.
- Own the product roadmap, develop scope, and define backlog items across thousands of user stories for the Agile software development team.
- Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Draft key objectives and results, strategies, and apply them to make business decisions.
- Understand end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during product visioning and concept development.
- Accountable for the created product(s) and communicate product needs with business partners.
- Assess value, develop cases, and work with customer representatives to prioritise activities for maximum value delivery.
- Develop and maintain a prioritised backlog of user stories for implementation.
- Act as an ambassador for the product and primary contact for product-related queries.
Key Skills:
- 5 years’ experience in Product Management in the public/financial sector.
- Management of senior stakeholders and their expectations.
- Deep understanding and passion for Agile methods and mindset.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams towards common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.
- Experience in defining product roadmap and managing product backlog.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Agile tools including Jira and Confluence.
- Product Owner Certification.
- Able to undertake and successfully gain SC level security clearance checks.
