Summary: The Product Owner role focuses on enhancing API standards and facilitating product planning within the DevX Standards and Controls leadership team at HSBC. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to align product roadmaps and ensure customer-centric transitions. The role also involves championing data usage to improve customer understanding and engagement with the products. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site work in Sheffield, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and enhance the standards in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Lead/facilitate product planning and prioritisation to deliver towards a future vision for API standards.
- Align and communicate roadmaps for the product to the customers.
- Run customer forums for API standards.
- Ensure that the customer is being thought about at the centre of new work and transitions.
- Champion the usage of data and metrics to improve understanding of customer interactions with the products.
Key Skills:
- Development team leadership experience.
- Product ownership, product planning, roadmap planning.
- Experience of working in a control environment or with Technology controls.
- Experience in working within a global organisation and globally distributed development teams.
- Effective communication of ideas, views, and concerns.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To be a pro-active, collaborative and inquisitive member of the DevX Standards and Controls leadership team. This role supports the head of Standards and Controls directly:
This role will:
- Understand and enhance the standards in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Lead/facilitate product planning and prioritisation to deliver towards a future vision for where API standards go and how the tooling aligns to this.
- Align and communicate roadmaps for the product to the customers
- Run customer forums for API standards
- Ensure that the customer is being thought about at the centre of new work and transitions
- Champion the usage of data and metrics to improve understanding of what customers are doing on the products
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE
