We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner (Grade 11) to join the Participant Management team on an 18-month FTC (Fixed Term Contract).Team Overview:Participant Management is responsible for both operational delivery and shaping the future of the service and digital product. This includes supporting service and product teams, users, stakeholders, and development teams.Additionally, Participant oversees the Customer Journey through Market Entry, Qualification, Asset Management, Industry Standing Data, and Market Exit. It also aids existing Market Participants in complying with the Balancingand Settlement Code.Job Purpose:The Product Owner is responsible for the development of the products in line with strategic, industry and customer needs. Using customer (internal and external) feedback we look to enhance our products utilising best practice product owner and continuous improvement methodologies.The Product Owner is accountable for delivering customer value. They do this by defining and prioritizing product features and user stories, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring their product aligns with both strategic business goals and customer needs. They manage the product backlog/s, making critical decisions, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver successful product/s supporting Elexon s Services and Value Streams.Key Responsibilities:Manage product/s roadmaps and backlogs, prioritising defects, features, and technical debt tasks, in alignment with Service requirements, Industry and Programme change requirements, and Elexon's strategic objectives.Accountable for the planning and management of the product change budget and value delivery against sameAccountable for Business cases, ensuring they follow Elexon governance and best practice standards, demonstrating expected outcomes and benefits, including the creation and ownership of benefit realisation plan.Accountable for Stakeholder Management of internal and external customers (Product Owners, Service Owners, Participants, Regulatory bodies) in matters relating to the technical products they own.Work closely to the product delivery team/s, inputting and leading (where appropriate) all relevant Agile ceremonies.Accountable for defining and owning the Product s vision and strategy, accounting for cross product dependencies.Accountable for Elexon s product strategy by creating common practices, knowledge sharing forums, communities across Elexon to remove barriers across products.Accountable for best practice recording of Epics, Features and User Stories in Azure DevOpsContributes to the continuous improvement of Product Delivery Team velocity and efficiency.Accountable for accuracy in sizing of Epics (ROM) and FeaturesMust continuously develop your own knowledge of owned Products and customer use cases, value definition and realisationCapabilities and competencies:Critical:Ability to develop tailored Business Designapproaches to problems, including definition andmanagement of scope.A good understanding of IT systems, infrastructuresand emerging technologies.
