Summary: The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will play a pivotal role in a Wealth Management business undergoing growth and transformation. This position involves collaborating with senior stakeholders and leading an Agile team to enhance Investment Operations, focusing on areas such as Custody and Dealing. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to translate business needs into actionable user stories. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract aimed at delivering innovative solutions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Lead Product Manager for Investment Operations within the Business Transformation team.
- Take ownership of the alignment and product development of the Investment Operations proposition.
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and develop business knowledge.
- Act as the subject matter expert for developers and vendors regarding deliverable outcomes.
- Lead product updates, demos, and training across the business.
- Manage the product backlog and ensure it is refined.
- Support relationships with external system vendors and facilitate release planning.
- Ensure design and delivery are managed in line with operational risk standards.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of Investment Product Management/Product Owner experience.
- Solid knowledge of Investment Operations, specifically Custody and Dealing.
- Experience in transformational change.
- Experience working with external vendors in Portfolio Management or Investment Services.
- Experience leading teams in an Agile setting.
- Excellent communication skills.

This role is a 12 month FTC
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will work closely with the Lead Product Manager for Investment Operations sitting within the Business Transformation team.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will hold a strong knowledge of Regulatory frameworks within Investment Operations and will take ownership of the alignment and product development of the Investment Operations proposition, including but not limited to Custody, IBOR, dealing and settlements. You will be part of the team charged with integrating and improving a key part of the Wealth Management business, with the goal of delivering innovative, efficient solutions to support the business. The Product Manager of Investment Operations will bridge the gap between technology and the business, nurturing a long-standing collaborative partnership.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, be commercially minded, constantly develop your business knowledge and awareness, be comfortable working within a long-standing Agile team.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will be the subject matter expert to developers and vendors around deliverable outcomes – understand the needs of key Wealth Management business stakeholders and ensure their requirements are understood and turned into actionable Agile user stories.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change takes the lead in product updates, giving regular demos and training across the business, able to translate human into tech and vice versa.
Lead an Agile Product team delivering high quality well written user stories and acceptance criteria.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will own the product backlog and be responsible for ensuring the backlog is refined.
Support the management of relationships with External system vendors, facilitate release planning and ensure the product roadmap aligns to the overall team strategy and objectives.
The Product Manager of Investment Operational Change will ensure that all design and delivery is robustly managed in terms of conduct, delivery and operational risk in line with Wealth Management business standards.
The Candidate
5+ years Investment Product Management / Product Owner experience within an Investment setting – with a solid knowledge of Investment Operations – specifically Custody & Dealing
Experience of transformational change
Experience working with external vendors across Portfolio Management or Investment Services.
Experience leading teams in an Agile setting
Excellent Communication Skills.
