Summary: The Product Manager role is a contract position focused on managing Product Development for BCP until December 31, 2025. The individual will collaborate with the Head of Product Development to define the Product roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy while leading Product Development on various projects. This position also involves engaging with stakeholders and customers to gather feedback and support the Sales teams during product launches. Strong communication and a deep understanding of the commercial cards industry are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Product Development for BCP, working closely with the Head of Product Development.
- Define the Product roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy.
- Act as Product Development lead on SI / MTP projects throughout the delivery cycle.
- Conduct customer-facing meetings to support Sales teams during early development phases.
- Set up and hold Customer feedback sessions to inform the Product Roadmap.
- Develop strong working relationships with Product Managers and Project Managers.
- Communicate the BCP Product Roadmap process and updates to the business.
- Manage stakeholder communications, including updates to Product Director and Exco.
- Collaborate with B2B Sales Team and Product Partnerships to align strategies.
- Gather market and customer insights to inform product development.

Role Purpose / Summary
The key purpose of this role is to manage Product Development for BCP. This will include working closely with the Head of Product Development to define the Product roadmap and ensuring a clear fit with business strategy, and working closely with Product Managers on the changes that will impact their Products. The core of the role will be to act as Product Development lead on SI / MTP projects to ensure that the vision remains true throughout the delivery cycle. This means not only working with the core project team on the delivery but taking the lead on business updates and comms, as well as conducting customer facing meetings to help support the Sales teams during the early phases of development and launch. The role will also require the individual to set-up and hold Customer feedback sessions to help obtain the "voice of the customer" to help inform the direction of the Product Roadmap.
Key Skills/ Requirements
- Work within BCP Product, and alongside Head of Product Development to create the strategic vision for BCP that will then become the business strategy and delivery plan for the business
- Work with the wider BCP Product Managers to understand the products, and to help them understand the developments in flight, and on to develop the Product Roadmap
- Take the lead on Product Development projects - shaping the vision and ensuring the delivery teams deliver the Product / Product enhancement that was envisioned at its conception
- Develop a strong working relationship with Product Managers and Project Managers
- Develop, own and communicate the BCP Product Roadmap process

Person Specification
Ability to work well within small teams
Very high level of communication skills and is comfortable being customer and internal facing, and presenting with little documentation to support the conversation, understanding that these communications at a senior level (internally and externally) will directly impact the success of the strategy.
Possess an in depth understanding of the commercial cards industry, and our place and capabilities
Very strong understanding of our own Product capabilities
Possess an in depth knowledge of the industry, and be regarded an SME in Commercial Cards
Be that single point in the business to define our Product Development strategy and to directly determine the success of business critical strategies
A strong understanding of the Product lifecycle and Project delivery methodologies
