Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage governed data products within a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Lead platform enhancements around data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and data contract enforcement.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to deliver scalable, reliable pipelines.
- Drive roadmap and integrations across Alation, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Great Expectations.
- Partner with Data Governance to support data domain stewards and align with enterprise data strategy.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager for data platforms, pipelines, or PaaS.
- Strong familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and data governance frameworks.
- Deep understanding of data contracts, data quality KPIs, and metadata standards.
- Experience working in modern data stack environments with cross-functional teams.

A leading retail organisation is looking for an experienced Contract Data Product Manager to join one of their strategic data programmes. This role requires 2 days a week in Farringdon. The contract will commence in 1–2 weeks and offers a £650/day rate (outside IR35).
The Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of a backend data platform, focusing on governed datasets, data quality enforcement, and platform tooling. This is a pivotal role shaping how data products are built, validated, and consumed across a large-scale enterprise environment.
