Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead products through the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Understand user needs and translate these into clear product priorities and outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain and prioritise product backlogs.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Delivery, Business Analysis, User Research, Service Design, UX and Engineering.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, building consensus and managing competing priorities.
  • Use data, user research and evidence to inform product decisions.
  • Define product goals, success measures and KPIs and monitor product performance.
  • Identify dependencies, risks and opportunities across the wider programme and organisation.
  • Champion agile, user-centred ways of working and support continuous improvement across the team.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Product Manager within complex digital environments.
  • Strong experience of agile product development and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing products across different stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design and evidence-led product development.
  • Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised backlogs.
  • The ability to operate effectively in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the ability to create momentum and remove barriers.
  • Previous public sector and/or GDS experience would be highly advantageous.
