Key Responsibilities
- Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Understand user needs and translate them into clear product priorities.
- Develop, manage and prioritise product backlogs.
- Make evidence-based decisions using user research, data and service performance.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.
- Define outcomes, success measures and product KPIs.
- Manage competing priorities and make informed decisions around scope and delivery.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and effectively manage differing requirements.
- Identify dependencies, risks and opportunities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champion user-centred design and continuous improvement.
- Support products and services through different phases of delivery, from Discovery and Alpha through to Beta and Live.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience working as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager within complex digital environments.
- Experience delivering digital products and services within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and user-centred design (UCD) approaches.
- Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised backlogs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- The ability to balance user needs, organisational objectives and technical considerations.
- Strong experience using data, research and evidence to inform product decisions.
- Experience working across the full digital service lifecycle.
- Previous public sector or government experience would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of GDS Service Standards and Government Service Manual would also be beneficial.
Working Arrangements
The role can be based from Birmingham, London or Leeds, with hybrid working across office/client locations and home.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable with a mixture of remote and onsite working depending on programme requirements.
