Summary: The Associate Product Manager role involves driving the transformation of a client's rewards platform within a global IT consultancy. The position requires collaboration with Agile teams to prioritize backlogs, develop user stories, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The role emphasizes building a culture of agility and product ownership while engaging with various stakeholders to align on business needs and outcomes. This is a 12-month hybrid contract requiring on-site presence three days a week in Burgess Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and actively manage a product backlog of features and capabilities in collaboration with engineering and business teams.
  • Connect customer experience to platform requirements and champion customer and business needs across discussions.
  • Translate features into prioritized user stories in coordination with other Product Owners and Managers.
  • Engage with architects, product owners, and business teams to understand current and future needs.
  • Participate in and support agile practices and ceremonies.
  • Communicate and build consensus across multiple teams to create solutions.
  • Define business requirements through interviews with end users about technology and system concepts.
  • Provide feedback and clarity on stories during day-to-day activities with the development team.
  • Continuously review and manage the team backlog to ensure it includes valuable items and customer feedback.
  • Provide vision to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Collaborate on release plans and set expectations for new functionalities delivery.
  • Mitigate impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Stay updated with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.

Key Skills:

  • 3 years of experience working with software development teams.
  • Knowledge of Loyalty Programs and associated products is desirable.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science disciplines (preferred) or comparable experience.
