Summary: The Product Manager for Enterprise/Public Sector Software will oversee the management and strategic direction of complex software products in a product-led technology environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and maintaining product roadmaps aligned to customer, business and technical priorities
  • Managing the lifecycle of mature, legacy or end-of-life software products
  • Working closely with engineering teams to define, prioritise and clarify product requirements
  • Engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders to gather insight, validate needs and manage expectations
  • Supporting delivery of complex product initiatives by bringing structure, clarity and momentum across teams
  • Identifying and managing product risks, dependencies, trade-offs and delivery challenges

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years' experience in product management within a modern software, SaaS or product-led organisation
  • Strong experience working closely with engineering teams in an Agile environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex product roadmaps, priorities, dependencies and stakeholder expectations
  • Experience managing product lifecycle decisions, ideally including mature, legacy or end-of-life software products
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, customers and technical teams
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data, insight and research to guide product decisions
  • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to understand customer needs, pain points and motivations

Product Manager - Enterprise / Public Sector Software

12 Month Contract

Location: London / Hybrid

Rate: £600 - £650 per day (Inside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to support the ongoing management and strategic direction of complex software products within a product-led technology environment.

This is a 12-month contract role, working remotely, suited to someone with strong product management experience across modern software, SaaS, enterprise technology, public sector, healthcare, regulated or mission-critical software environments. Healthcare experience would be beneficial, but the key requirement is strong product management experience within complex software products, ideally where there are multiple stakeholders, engineering dependencies and mature or legacy product considerations.

The role will include ownership of product roadmap activity, stakeholder engagement, engineering collaboration and lifecycle management, with a particular focus on managing mature, legacy or end-of-life products and ensuring they continue to deliver value, stability and clarity for customers and internal teams.

You will work closely with engineering, design, research, commercial, customer success and senior stakeholders to define priorities, manage dependencies and support effective delivery. This is not a pure project management role; we are looking for someone who can take ownership of product outcomes, balance customer value with technical and commercial considerations, and bring structure to complex product environments.

The Role

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a clear understanding of customer needs, business goals and product priorities. You will help define and refine product roadmaps, support product lifecycle decisions and ensure product development activity remains aligned to wider strategic objectives.

You will work closely with engineering teams to define requirements, prioritise work and manage risks, dependencies and trade-offs. The role requires strong delivery discipline, excellent stakeholder management and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment with competing priorities.
