Product Manager DevOps

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Product Manager DevOps.

Key Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team and lead the service delivery efforts within our Agile Release Train (ART).
Unlike traditional product management roles, this position focuses on service delivery management within the context of DIGIT s DevSecOps programme, ensuring that our current DevSecOps offering can be transformed from a set of tools to a coherent service offering in the form of a DevSecOps platform.
As Product Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of this service offering, from conception to delivery, ensuring they align with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and performance metrics.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, operations, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritize work in accordance with the SAFe methodology.
The successful candidate will be part of the sector DIGIT B.4.001 Developer Journey as a de facto Service Delivery Manager, thus directly interfacing with officials and reporting directly to the Head of Sector.

Key Experience:

Lead the DevSecOps programme in creating a unified service offering across the European Commission.
Ensure excellent communication and setting clear expectations with DIGIT B4 s customers.
Convert business needs into actionable work packages.
Identify knowledge gaps within the team and aiding in recruiting the right resources.
Deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) for the planned DevSecOps platform and services by the first half of 2025.
Develop and communicate a clear service roadmap that outlines priorities for DevSecOps, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals.
Lead and coordinate Program Increment (PI) planning within the ART, ensuring the prioritized services and features are broken down into manageable tasks for development and operations teams.
Collaborate with system architects, engineers, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services, balancing technical feasibility with customer requirements.
Serve as the primary interface between the ART, senior management, and external stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and key decisions regarding cloud services.
Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to continuously improve service quality, scalability, and performance, ensuring cloud services meet evolving needs.
Utilize data and KPIs to guide prioritization decisions, focusing on service performance, user satisfaction, and business value.
Ensure all services comply with security, legal, and regulatory requirements, working closely with the legal and security teams.
Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations in cloud service management to improve efficiency, performance, and service offerings.

Key Skills:

5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on service delivery rather than traditional product management.
Strong understanding of DevOps processes and related technologies.
Experience in Cloud service delivery and management.
Proven experience in working within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment (SAFe Product Manager/Owner certification is a plus).
Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and business objectives into clear service requirements and priorities.
Strong background in Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
Experience in managing service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring service delivery excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong organizational skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality services on time and within scope.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight for service-related projects.
