Summary: The role of Senior Product Designer focuses on enhancing user experiences within the Sports Betting sector through a six-month contract. The designer will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address user-driven challenges and ensure customer-centric solutions. Key responsibilities include leading design efforts, optimizing player engagement, and developing on-brand designs. The position requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies specific to the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and work within a functional team of UX designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative design culture.
  • Provide leadership within the team and more broadly where the opportunity presents itself.
  • Collaborate and highlight areas of needed coordination between teams in a cross-functional set-up, ensuring delivery aligns to pillar UX strategies.
  • Understand expectations, timelines and outcomes, supporting the team to remove blockers.
  • Support the conception, creation, implementation and refinement of user research methods to support the optimisation of player engagement.
  • Develop on-brand designs that delight our customers and enhance appeal of the game.
  • Work with player-centric design methodologies, ensuring that design decisions are rooted in deep player insights, feedback, and usability best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Experience within Sportsbook, gaming/gambling.
  • Strong experience in core subject areas associated with the pillar and associated user journeys and products.
  • Experienced in User Centred Design, applies an iterative design process focusing on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process.
  • Well versed in Interaction Design, designs interactive products and services, going beyond the item in development to include the way users will interact with it.
  • Advanced in Information Architecture, the design and arrangement of information, content, and navigation in a way that facilitates intuitive and efficient user experiences within digital platforms or systems.
  • Advanced knowledge in Visual Design, uses imagery, colour, shapes, typography, and form to enhance usability and improve the user experience.
  • Experienced in Wireframing, designs a website service at the structural level, laying out content and functionality on a page and considering user needs and user journeys.
  • Well-versed in Accessibility & Inclusive Design, ensures that products are convenient to all while considering user diversity.
  • Proficiency with Usability Testing, in planning, designing, executing, and analysing usability tests. Knowledge of various testing methods, such as moderated and unmoderated testing, remote testing, and eye-tracking.
  • Advanced understanding of User flows develops the path taken by a prototypical user on a website or app to complete a task.
