What we're looking for
- We are particularly interested in candidates who combine strong engineering knowledge with digital/product delivery experience.
- Significant experience delivering digital engineering capabilities within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or fluid systems engineering
- Experience with engineering environments involving 1D system simulation, CFD, thermal analysis and/or 3D CAD
- Good understanding of model-based engineering and simulation-driven design
- Experience integrating engineering tools, data and processes across complex environments
- Strong product, project or programme delivery experience
- Experience managing technical suppliers and system integrators
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, technology and leadership teams
- Experience operating within complex, multi-partner or distributed engineering programmes
- Strong understanding of governance, configuration management, data quality and engineering assurance
- Experience across areas such as fuel systems, hydraulics, environmental control, pneumatics, thermal management or other complex mechanical systems would be particularly valuable.
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline is preferred, alongside relevant project, programme or service-management experience.
Security
Due to the nature of the environment, candidates must be eligible to obtain the appropriate UK security clearance.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how advanced engineering teams use digital technology, simulation and integrated engineering environments.
You'll have significant ownership of the capability roadmap and work with a broad range of engineering and technology specialists to introduce solutions that improve engineering efficiency, collaboration, traceability and quality.
If you have a background spanning digital engineering, mechanical/fluid systems and complex technical delivery, we'd be keen to hear from you.
