Summary: The Procurement Support Associate role is a 6-month contract position focused on supporting procurement and commercial activities within a leading organization. The position involves managing supplier engagement, cost modeling, and reporting while ensuring compliance and coordination across various teams. The role is based in Manchester or Warrington and requires a proactive approach to maintain project momentum and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier engagement and evaluations
- Build and maintain cost models, forecasts, and benchmarking data
- Manage trackers, dashboards, and reporting packs for clear visibility
- Assist with business cases, scenario analysis, and early-stage planning
- Support governance, approvals, and process compliance
- Coordinate across Commercial, Legal, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams
- Track risks, issues, and dependencies-keeping delivery on course
- Drive meeting actions, maintain momentum, and ensure follow-through
Key Skills:
- Procurement experience with strong planning, reporting, and controls capability
- Commercial awareness (contracts, suppliers, risk)
- Experience in large, complex project or programme environments
- Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator and effective cross-team coordinator
- Proactive, structured, and delivery-focused mindset
- MCIPS/MRICS (or working towards) desirable
