Summary: The Procurement & Contracts Specialist role focuses on managing the procurement process and supplier relationships for IT products and services within a large public sector organization. This position involves leading complex IT procurement projects and collaborating with senior stakeholders to oversee the commercial aspects of these projects. The role offers opportunities for skills development within a sophisticated procurement team. It is a fixed-term contract for an initial period of six months, based in either Leeds or London with hybrid or remote working options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing – identification and evaluation of suppliers
- Tendering, and implementing contracts and agreements
- Managing complex contracts
- Managing, advising, and influencing stakeholders through the procurement process
- Managing supplier relationships, setting supplier strategy and evaluating supplier performance
- Project procurement and category management approach
- Risk management
Key Skills:
- Experience of leading and managing end to end procurement process, tendering and contract award
- Experience of IT services commodities
- Experience of leading public procurement process and contract knowledge
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, managing cross function projects and senior stakeholders

This role will take the procurement lead for complex IT and technology based projects, working with the senior stakeholders to manage the commercial aspects of projects.
