Summary: The Procurement Specialist role is a six-month interim position based in Gloucestershire, focusing on supporting the Category Manager in the end-to-end sourcing process of software contracts. The specialist will be responsible for identifying sourcing opportunities, executing negotiation strategies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support through the end-to-end sourcing process of software contracts.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and execute negotiation strategies.
  • Deliver cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives, governance, and category strategies.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management.
  • Knowledge of vendor risk management processes.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to support and execute negotiations that deliver measurable value.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a category management framework.
  • At least three years of experience in a procurement role.
  • CIPS or other relevant procurement certification (Desirable).
  • Financial Services experience (Desirable).
  • Experience in software or technology procurement (Desirable).
