Summary: The Procurement Principal Professional role in Christchurch involves providing procurement expertise and support within a hybrid working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide procurement expertise, services, support, and strategy implementation.
- Drive procurement solutions and deliver appropriate interventions to support business aims.
- Lead complex procurement packages or suppliers requiring in-depth knowledge of procurement principles.
- Deliver procurement capability within a programme.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure product or service provision meets governance and value for money.
- Implement effective risk management processes.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, addressing supplier under-performance.
- Raise formal documents to support sourcing and contracting processes.
- Manage supplier payment processes and resolve related issues.
- Identify and record savings while managing the order book for timely deliveries.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Procurement within the Defence domain.
- Full SC Clearance.
- CIPS Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
- Understanding of purchase to pay systems and supplier management tools.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
