Summary: The Procurement Manager role at a prestigious FTSE 100 Global firm in Hertfordshire involves driving procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships within a best-in-class Sourcing Hub. This position is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or permanent placement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clear short/mid/long term strategies to drive value on the allocated category of spend.
  • Influence key internal stakeholders to support and buy into chosen strategy.
  • Build relationships across all levels with suppliers to leverage strategic importance and negotiate charges.
  • Manage the tender process, negotiation, and contracting for service/product provision.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the supply base.
  • Support supplier relationship management policies to ensure consistent practices and develop supplier relationships.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience within either Indirect or Direct Procurement.
  • Strong negotiator and influencer.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand market dynamics and create innovative solutions/category plans.
  • Keen relationship management skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex specifications and contract scopes.
  • Ability to analyze detailed financial and general management information.
  • Ability to review and mark up contracts.
  • Experience in completing end-to-end robust competitive tender processes.

Procurement Manager – Global Firm -Hertfordshire (1-2 days per week) - £55,000-£65,000 + Completion Bonus + Package – 12 Month FTC

This prestigious £Multi-Billion FTSE 100 Global firm is enjoying rapid global expansion and is pouring investment into an already award-winning best-in-class Sourcing Hub. As a result, the Firm has created a new position for an ambitious Procurement Manager to join their journey. Although an initial 12 month contract, there will be opportunities for this contract to be extended or made into a Permanent opportunity.

In this role you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues, contributing to the driving force behind this category, providing unwavering procurement support and playing a pivotal role in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to align strategic partners with the firm’s vision. This role is energised and purpose-driven, making you the driving force for our pursuit of excellence and innovation.

In this role you will be managing both Indirect or Direct so my client is open to Procurement professionals with either an Indirect or Direct category background.
